1. Annual Free Children’s Concert - Every year The Plainfield Symphony offers a free children’s concert to the community. In September 2009 we successfully partnered with Shiloh Baptist and as a result introduced the Symphony to new generation of children.

4. Educational programs to local schools - We are proud to continue our commitment to music education by offering instructional programs to schools in central New Jersey. In 2009 we offered educational programs to Barlow Elementary and Union County TEAMS Charter School.
   
   
5. Junior Board of Directors - We’re very excited by the success of the Symphony’s Jr. Board of Directors, which provides community service opportunities to local high school students. Music students volunteer their time to help with Marketing, Operations, Outreach and Fund Raising.
   
   
6. Local young musicians - The Plainfield Symphony is very proud of the extraordinary talent of the young musicians that perform with us.
   
   
7. Canned Food Drives - We're partnered with the Starfish Food Pantry of Plainfield to collect canned goods prior to each concert.
   
   
8. Chamber of Commerce - The Symphony is also a proud member of the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, which allows us to connect with local businesses and continue our outreach efforts into the community.
