Children's Concert Big Success

The Plainfield Symphony had a great turn out for this years children's concert which is provided annually as a FREE service to the community. This year we partnered for the first time with the Plainfield Shiloh Baptist Church, which offered an amazing venue for the orchestra to perform.

Opening Night & Gala Sell Out

The Plainfield Symphony recently celebrated its 90th Anniversary with a sold out Gala Concert and Reception. The concert was led by former music director George Marriner Maull, former music director and Conductor Emeritus Sabin Pautza and recently appointed music director Charles Prince.

Guest soloist for the evening was New Jersey's own Richard Alston.

After the gala concert, a reception was held in the beautiful home of Rashid and Wendy Burney. The Honorary Co-chairpersons of the evening were Barbara Sandford and Bernice Swain. And the event was chaired by Greg Haworth.

It was a fabulous evening for the symphony as the classical music tradition in Plainfield lives on.

Attention High School Students!

The Plainfield Symphony is seeking out high school students to volunteer as
members to our Junior Board of Directors. Students will get experience in
marketing, operations or fundraising. Strengthen your college application with this
great community service.
