The Plainfield Symphony Orchestra is noted for the quality of its orchestra as well as its stature as the oldest community symphony in New Jersey, and the third oldest in the country. For more than100 years, PSO has continued its mission to promote symphonic music and educate listeners in central New Jersey and across the region.

PSO is an integral part of the city of Plainfield. In keeping with our mission to give back to the community, PSO offers an annual free family concert, designed to bring classical music education to a new generation of listeners.
