New Jersey Galvanizing and Tinning Works, Inc.
New Jersey Galvanizing has been in business since 1902. Robert Gregory, president, is the third-generation owner of New Jersey Galvanizing, a family-held business established in 1902. What began with the Gregorys’ grandfather, an Irish immigrant, galvanizing ice buckets in 1902 on Pacific Street in Newark is now one of the largest steel-coating businesses in New Jersey. In 2018, NJ Galvanizing was awarded the Galvanized Rebar package for the new Tappan Zee Bridge. This galvanizing package is believed to be the largest galvanizing project in the history of our nation. The company received the “Award of Excellence” from the American Galvanizers Association for their work on the project.

They are active participants in the community and have supported the Plainfield YMCA, the Plainfield area Red Cross and the Plainfield youth soccer league.
