Plainfield Symphony Orchestra to Honor Swain, Walsh at September Gala

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 5, Plainfield, NJ – The Plainfield Symphony Orchestra (PSO), New Jersey’s oldest community orchestra, has announced that Ann Swain and Hon. Patricia Walsh will be recognized at “Prelude to Our Centennial,” Plainfield Symphony Orchestra’s 99th Season Showcase. The annual gala will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at Plainfield Country Club. The festive evening will feature a cocktail reception, fine dining and silent and live auction items. Assemblyman Jon Bramnick will conduct the live auction.

“The Season Showcase is the highlight in PSO’s sparkling social calendar,” said Peter Lomonaco, PSO President. “The Showcase will be even more spectacular this year as we begin our countdown to the Orchestra’s centennial in 2019. The addition of honorees to the program, as well as the distinguished venue of the Plainfield Country Club, guarantees that this will be a memorable evening.”

The evening’s honorees are Ann Swain, proprietor of Swain Galleries in Plainfield, and Hon. Patricia Walsh, Somerset County Freeholder. They are being recognized for their achievements and their contributions to Plainfield and to their communities.

This special event is highlighted by an impressive array of silent and live auction items, including an autographed Bruce Springsteen guitar; tickets and a backstage tour of a Broadway show; and a special dinner hosted by Maestro Charles Prince.

“The Showcase is the signature fundraiser for PSO,” said Rebecca Perkins, who co-chairs the evening with Patricia Van Slyke, both PSO Board Members. “Plainfield has a rich history of elegant events that have supported New Jersey’s oldest community symphony through the years, and this year will be a wonderful addition to that history.”

Sponsorships and tickets are now available; for more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.plainfieldsymphonyorg or call (908) 561-5040.
